Acid can also derive from bacteria that turn sugar into acid and this combination does no good for your teeth. Diet soda is of no exception either because it still contains the same amount of acid as regular soda.
  • Soda drinks invites the unmentionable gas
    Drinking soda can cause gas and stomach irritation, especially when you drink it with an empty stomach. You’re just putting more salt to the wound since your stomach is acidic enough when it’s empty and with added soda drinks (gas and acid) will definitely lead to stomach irritation and stomachache.
  • Soda drinks can make your bones fragile
    It’s true, soda drinks can make your bones weak. A possible explanation is that soda replaces other calcium-rich beverages such as milk, and this is what contributes to the overall calcium deficiency.
  • Soda drinks can increase your risk of diabetes
    As previously mentioned many times before, soda drinks are usually loaded with sugar, meaning too, it is loaded with empty calories that will lead to weight gain and in the end - great risk of diabetes. A person with frequent soda drinking habit is at a higher risk of getting diabetes than a person who doesn’t drink soda drinks or with very little consumption of it.
