Free Radical Hazards Vs Antioxidant Foods

Get Rid of Free Radicals with Nutrients from your Food

What is free radical? Well, not everyone is a chemist so there had to be an easier way to explain this.

The fact:molecules in the body has to be paired to form a bond. However there are some weak molecules that caused the bond to split that resulted to the production of free radical. Free radicals are very unstable and tend to steal electron (the volatile part of a molecule) from other stable molecule and the breakage of the bond will lead to the production of another free radical — thus, a chain reaction happens!

Once the process is started, it can cascade, finally resulting in the disruption of a living cell.

Besides environmental factors such as pollution, radiation, cigarette smoke and herbicides, free radicals may also spawn during metabolism. Normally, the body can handle free radicals, but if antioxidants are unavailable, or if the free-radical production becomes excessive, damage can occur.

Flavanoid is a kind of an antioxidant that could help to prevent free radicals and it’s made up from a few type of drinks and food stuff. Nevertheless, you’d probably have to take it in a large amount for it to be effective. It can be found in:

Coffee ( try decaf ) —- Red Grape Juice ( try 2 glasses a day ) —- Green Tea ( takes up 5 to 7 cups )

—- Chocolate ( 70%++ dark pure chocolate content about 1 stick a day )

Thinking of getting better skin condition, consider taking lots of antioxidant. the pollution is killing our skin!!!
