Global warming activities have increases the earth’s temperature and thus directly depreciates human health as a whole. According to the research that was done by World Health Organization (WHO), the climate change that has been happening since 1970s had caused an average toll death of 150,000 people worldwide, which the major contribution is due to various kind of diseases.
Global warming Increase the Risk of Diseases
What’s the prove you say? Well, if previously diseases and influenza usually attacks during winter in four-seasons countries and during the raining seasons in tropical regions, but that isn’t usually the pattern anymore as of late. They come without warning and can affect anyone anywhere, anytime. Viral infection, bacteria and germ infections are much more widespread now than it was then. The four most common diseases that may be on the rise due to climate changing and global warming are:-
Diarrhea We usually get this due to food poisoning. Climate change that’s related to the rain polar has caused and influenced the spreading of variety of disease carrier microorganism. Such organisms are like Cryptosporidium, Giardia and E.Coli, but these are namely a few of the many examples. There are many more.
What you can try to do is to ensure that you drink clean water all the time. Rather than tap water, chose boiled water or filtered drinks. Other than that, it is important to maintain a good level of hygiene.
Dengue and Malaria Dengue and malaria are two very terrible diseases that will cause an exceptionally high fever with red spots that may look like rashes on the skin. It paralyzes the body immune system making a person very weak. These two have caused numerous deaths around the world and they are caused by killer mosquitoes of the Anopheles and Aedes Aegypti types that are also the carrier to a parasite called as malaria and the dengue virus. Humidity and heat attract these mosquitoes to breed extensively. A hotter temperature reduces the life cycle of these mosquitoes making their breeding cycle much faster than usual and bang! The increase of dengue and malaria diseases as well.
What you can do is use all available precautions such as mosquitoes repellents to protect yourself and also to maintain a clean environment, free of mosquitoes breeding grounds.
Skin Cancer
In a normal situation, the earth atmosphere can hold up to 95% ultra violet radiation from the sun and only 5% of it is able to penetrate the ozone layers to reach human beings on earth. However, scientific researches show that these layers aren’t able to hold up much then it used to, especially around the south pole regions, making those in direct constant direct contact with the situation more vulnerable to skin cancer.
What you can do is to get use to UV protection creams for your whole body and avoid being too long under direct sunlight, especially at noon. Being under the sun for too long can cause severe sunburn which in the long term leads to skin cancer. That is why it is best to exercise in the morning and 5 p.m and above.
Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease
On the average, the increase of the air temperature around the world is about 0.8ยบ Celsius. Nevertheless, in some regions, the air temperature is rising unusually high, including the surrounding ocean temperature which causes certain areas to be in low pressure, and rough winds often easily generated around this time. Rough raging winds if combined with dry air can triggers little fireworks - like what have triggered open forest fires in Australia and Borneo islands. Due to that we’ll have terrible haze and heavy smokes, and these can cause respiratory diseases, problems and disruptions like asthma, and in worse circumstances, the chronic obstructive lung disease.
What to do is you should get help from professional physician, and it is better to stay put at home than going out in public. It is best that you protect yourself from influenza and from getting pneumonia because this will only worsen the situation if not fatal.
[...] One way for you to know the intensity of UV rays in daylight is by knowing the UV Index. UV Index is a measurement developed by the National Weather Service and the US Environmental Protection agency which help people in detecting the strength of solar UV radiation. When you know and understand how the UV index works, you will have a good idea of the suns effects and what you can do to protect your skin and body in the best way. Overexposure of UV rays is mainly contributed by global warming activities which eventually lead to many harmful and vital diseases. Read more about Global Warming Health Risk. [...]
