How to Lose Your Belly Fat?

I know you’re getting sick of that flabby stomach and abs. Everyone longed for a flat tummy, tucked and and solid but how to lose your belly fat exactly?

Having a flat belly is a dream of most women while having ‘six-packs’ is a dream for most men. We all know how hard it is to get them but it is not at all impossible. Almost everybody have the problem of spare tire. Each individual has different body types and external factors may effect them differently too. That is why people come in many types of body shape - pear shaped and apple shaped. These body shapes actually described the areas of your body that fat are prone to stay.

If you have more fat stored around your belly, you have an apple body shape and if you have most of your fat stored around your hips and thighs then you’re of pear body shape. This is usually the spare tire that most people are dying to get rid off. Some even died in the process of extracting the fat through cosmetic surgery, so it’s always best to go natural, but how exactly? Is mere dieting, eating certain type of foods and exercising enough to get rid of it? Unfortunately, banishing belly fat is not easy.

Truth is that there is no specific method of losing your belly fat. There is no magic pills, diet plan, certain food or exercise that targets only the belly fat. Belly fat is actually the first kind of fat among your problematic body areas that goes off when you lose weight. Both, losing belly fat and weight have positive correlative relation. When you lose weight through proper dieting and exercising, you will find that the fat on your upper body is much easier to lose than those below the abdominal areas. This is because the fat tucked around your belly, or what we called as visceral fat, is more metabolically active and easier to lose than the ones on the other areas.

Actually, a person may have obtained the risk of getting belly fat since young through excessive baby fat. It is also very much related to one’s genetics. But often, it happens when someone gains weight and have excessive fat in their body through uncontrolled diet. That is the reason why, the ultimate formula of losing tummy fat is to lose weight and keep it off, by eating a healthy, controlled-calorie diet and get regular exercise, which marks around 40-50 minutes a day (a combination of moderate to heavy activities).

What you should do to lose the belly fat?

Exactly like what is previously written, to lose belly fat, all you’ve got to do is to lose some more weight and tone up a little. This will include a combination of low fat, calorie-controlled diet and exercise and spots exercises.

  • Eat meals that are low in fat, high in fiber and protein and moderate amount of carb. In short - a healthy meal and mixture of more vegetables, fruits, whole grains, protein (fish, white eggs), beans, nuts, seeds and very little fat. Only use unsaturated fats for consumption.
  • The harder you exercise, the more weight you lose and the more belly fat you’ll lose too. Aerobic and pursuing sports with high cardiovascular activities like basketball, soccer, handball and swimming are good.
  • Hundreds of crunches without losing your weight each day won’t flatten your stomach. You have to lose some of the fat around your tummy before strengthening it with sit-ups and crunches. Strengthening them can help your tummy look tighter and thinner.

How to know you have excessive belly fat?

You can measure your belly simply by the size of waistline. If your waist is larger than 40 inches (for men) or 35 inches (for women), you have too much belly fat and are at risk for heart disease and other conditions - which is also the cue call for you that say ‘you should be losing weight’.
