These two questions are among the basics that you should be asking yourself first. Finding and figuring out the reasons for your sadness, stress and worries factors can help you on managing your emotional health in your life.
1. Express yourself using the right method and way
Stress, sadness, worries and a whole lot of other negative feelings, if not catered to, can lead to severe stress and depression. Holding those emotions and feelings back and keeping all of it down inside of you will only make matters worse. Therefore, you have to learn to let it go, gradually, slowly but most importantly, using the right means, way and method. You can talk to your family or close friends whom you can trust and you know are able to at least make you feel better. However, bear in mind that not everybody are able to do so. There are times when it is better to seek professional help on the issue. At times like this, we need more of encouragement and words of comfort. It’s not really about finding a solution. Well, at least not entirely. Most of the time, we just want to be heard. Other than that, you can try to release stress through things that you enjoy doing like sports or hobbies.

2. Balance your life
Sometimes in life, when we bombarded with too many problems and negative aspects of life, we tend to forget what makes us happy and positive about living. Something positive isn’t that hard to come by. Try not to become too obsessed with your problems, whether at work, at home, at school et cetera. No, it’s not a crime to actually put your problems aside, and it’s not running away. When we are all stressed out about something, it affects our judgment about things surrounding us. Of course, it doesn’t mean that we have to act all happy when we’re actually down and all stressed out. It’s enough just to know there can be an even worse situation and there’s also other things that can definitely make you happy. Therefore, try to keep to the positive track for while and you will see then, you are more than ready to face your problems later.

3. Calm your mind and body
There’s so many ways on how you can calm yourself. Activities like meditation and praying proved to be able to calm, comfort and relax your mind and body. You’ll see how you are able to control your own feelings, mind and eventually your life.

4. Concern about your own self
Love yourself more than you did before, and that includes your body too. If you love yourself, you know that you don’t want anything bad to happen to you, and so, you’ll do anything to make sure you’re in a good condition, including emotional condition. Eat right, work right, get enough sleep and do things that are best for you. Sometimes, being healthily selfish makes you survive. If you think something that you have to do work is going to make you feel bad, then just don’t do it. So what if people are talking about your back, you are great anyway. Plus, they don’t actually pay your bills or anything. Keep up positive thinking and positive attitude, and keep it up mostly for the sake of yourself!

5. Take a ‘time-out’
Fancy a vacation? Go! Don’t hesitate, don’t turn back. Can’t get a vacation? Just get out from that typical routine of yours and do something seems fun to you. And while on this scheme, never try to think of your problems at home, with your friends or at work. Make some room for your brain to think calmly and effectively.
